The Telugu film industry had been extremely effective and efficient when it comes to delivering some of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema. But the production costs have been shooting up largely in the recent past, and this has become a matter of concern.
This has now invited a special piece of advice from Andhra Pradesh, deputy speaker, Raghu Rama Krishna Raju. He spoke about how Tollywood can bring down the production costs by creating a stable atmosphere for filmmaking.
RRR pointed out that certain films that might cost ₹10 crores for example can be brought down ₹5 crore with effective planning. He pointed out that the main reason why the production costs are going up in Telugu cinema are the fact that the technicians are having to be brought from other states and they charge double the remunerations.
He advised the film industry to work closely with the government and establish film housing colonies to host the technicians and keep them here steadily. He said this topic can be brought to discussion in front of deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, as he has knowledge on film and politics.
This is a very honest suggestion from the Andhra Pradesh deputy speaker RRR to deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and certainly has enough intellect to be discussed at the higher level. Notably, even Pavan Kalyan had been very positive when it comes to bringing the film shootings to Andhra Pradesh, and he would certainly take any suggestions and requests to this effect.
