YS Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to be fully confused on the Capital issue.
We have seen him support Amaravati between 2014 and 2019. We saw him say, “I am the only leader to have a permanent residence in Amaravati and so, nobody can be as committed as me”.
And then, immediately after coming to power in 2019, we have seen him go back on word and say ‘Three Capitals’.
But then, the Public vehemently rejected the idea and voted Jagan out of Power in 2024.
Even then, the Capital Experiments did not stop.
He now came up with ‘MAVIGUN’ as the Capital unifying Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, and Guntur.
We do not know what is the idea but Jagan recently said, Amaravati is not the capital but Vijayawada is the real Capital.
That is not the end of the Tamasha.
In a Chit-Chat with the media, Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy revealed that after 2014 Jagan wanted to made Donakonda as the Capital because there is 50,000 acres Government Lands and another 50,000 acres of Forest Lands there.
So, we have five options for the capital here – all are proposed by Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Leaving aside the merits of each of these options, it is clear how Jagan Mohan Reddy is inconsistent about a very important issues like the Capital.
That is very disappointing about a young leader who is supposed to be more clear and progressive.
