Versatile actor Prakash Raj often claims that he is neutral and has no affiliation with any political party or group. He also balances his public image by claiming no bias toward any religion. But, blindly supporting controversial YouTuber Prashna Ravan, Prakash Raj has made many people doubt his claims of being completely objective.
If a person like Prakash Raj actively supports someone with such intentions, his self-proclaimed image as an advocate of secularism will not stand public scrutiny.
It is well known that Andhra Pradesh police recently arrested Ravan for using highly offensive language against Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan. Ravan also made derogatory remarks about Hindu gods and the Hindu religion. He also openly mocked the ancient traditions of Sanatana Dharma on public forums.
By choosing to support a person who crossed these acceptable lines, Prakash Raj appears to value political opposition over basic societal decency. While it is true that freedom of speech should not be threatened in a healthy democracy. At the same time, one cannot misuse the freedom of speech and cross the permissible line to attack a political leader or demean a religion or community with a malafide intention.
Despite the fact that Prashna Ravan’s criticism is not constructive but clearly aimed to attack opponents to favour a particular political party or a religion, actor Prakash Raj’s blind support raises serious doubts about his true intentions and points towards selective neutrality.
If one claims to be a non-biased, the rules must apply equally. You cannot preach peace while standing with those who spread verbal abuse and hatred in such volumes. Prakash Raj must realize that defending toxic behavior damages his public image and legacy.
Prakash Raj has long been a vocal critic of Pawan Kalyan’s political ideologies and ambitions. He often expresses his opinions freely against Pawan Kalyan on social media platforms. But, turning all that hatred towards Pawan into blind support for someone like Prashna Ravan who has other intentions only erodes the credibility and reputation of Prakash Raj.
No matter whoever resorts to abusive and unparliamentary language, it should be condemned. In the past, even the supporters of Janasena also made objectionable remarks on YSR Congress party leaders. The bad culture shouldn’t be encouraged no matter who follows it.
