Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan played a crucial role in bringing public Spotlight to the Sugali Preethi case which was later projected to be one of the most controversial rape and murder cases in AP. Kalyan was persistent with his fight for a really long time and continued the same even during the rampant Jagan government.
Thanks to the consistent pressure exerted by Kalyan, the then Jagan government had allocated a significant financial contribution along with a parcel of land to the family members of the victim.
But now, there’s a shocking turn in the story as Sugali Preethi’s mother Parvati has filed a police complaint against Pawan Kalyan himself saying he didn’t stand on his promise.
The lady addressed the media after filing the complaint and said Kalyan promised justice to her but failed badly after coming to power and walked away saying the proofs and facts in the case are erased. She gave the implication that Pawan Kalyan used to this case for his political rise and then left it after becoming deputy CM.
This comes at a time when Pawan Kalyan is openly admitting that the facts associated with the case were erased during the Jagan government and there is not much that the investigation authority can do.
After securing significant benefits from the government, thanks to the pressure exerted by Pawan Kalyan, the family members have now gone on to file a complaint against Kalyan himself. This is said to have hurt the JSP follower group and supporters very badly.
A few Janasena supporters are commenting that this case is moving more on political gains and selfish grounds than social justice and fight against betrayal.
