Mrs Surekha was sworn in as the member of Yadagirigutta Devasthanam Board yesterday. The Telangana government officially constituted an 18-member Trust Board for the temple on June 30th.
The Swearing-in ceremony happened yesterday in the Temple Premises and the board will have two years of tenure.
Immediately after the announcement few days back, there was a huge uproar over the appointment with people criticizing how the Government will appoint Surekha of Andhra Origin for the most prominent temples in Telangana. The uproar was headed by the BRS Supporters for obvious reasons.
It is good that neither Chiranjeevi nor Chief Minister Revanth Reddy gave up to the Pressure.
The Megastar has made Hyderabad and Telangana his home for decades. Besides contributing to the state with Taxes, he contributed to the state by generating income and employment by shooting majority of his films here.
Chiranjeevi is also someone who always came forward to play his part when the state needs him in natural calamities be it Cyclones, Coronas, etc.
He also established the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust (that runs Blood Bank and Eye Bank) in Hyderabad. There is no right for anyone to separate Chiranjeevi from Telangana. He has all rights to be the one of Telangana and Revanth Reddy rightly did so.
Moreover, there is no state, caste, and creed difference before the Lord. There are Telangana representatives in TTD Board constituted by the Andhra Pradesh Government.
Sandra Venkata Veerayya (who belongs to the SC community) from Sattupalli, Telangana also got chance in the TTD Board previously.
The Lord choses who has the luck and fortune to be in his board.
