TTD Announces New Donor Rules, Check Here!

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced a new set of rules for devotees who donate to its trusts and schemes. The revised donor policy came into effect from the midnight of July 14 following approval at the TTD Board meeting held in Tirumala.

TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu said the changes are aimed at bringing greater transparency and uniformity in the management of donations. He clarified that the new rules will apply only to future donations. Devotees who have already donated to TTD trusts and schemes will continue to receive the privileges that were applicable when they made their donations.

New Donor Rules

TTD has reorganized donor benefits into four donation categories. The number of darshan tickets, accommodation, room stay, laddus and Vastram gifts will now depend on the amount donated.

Note: The revised donor privileges are applicable only to new donations made from July 15, 2026. Existing donors will continue to receive benefits under the previous policy.

Major Decisions Taken by the TTD Board

Besides revising donor benefits, the board approved several major projects for pilgrim welfare and temple development.

Permanent shelters, queue lines and toilets worth Rs.6.31 crore will be built near Alwar Tank for SSD token holders.
A Rs.2.77 crore double lane bridge will strengthen Kumaradhara and Pasupudhara dams.
An 800 KW wind turbine will be installed to supply green power to Tirumala for the next 25 years.
Entry fee at the SV Museum has been fixed at Rs.50, while Tata Group has been invited to manage the museum.
Rs.17.84 crore has been approved for constructing a 100 room pilgrim guest house at Vontimitta.
One kilogram of gold from the TTD treasury will be used to prepare golden armour for the Vontimitta temple deities.
791 prospective Vedic scholars will be appointed under the Veda Parayana Scheme.
Fire safety upgrades, scientific waste management, artist remuneration hikes, 2027 calendar printing and catering staff promotions were also approved.

The latest decisions underline TTD’s focus on improving pilgrim facilities, making donor benefits more transparent and strengthening temple infrastructure across Andhra Pradesh.
