Did Pawan Want to Make Mudragada Governor?

There is no debating the fact that Mudragada Padmanabham is one of the most influential Kapu community leaders in Andhra Pradesh. In his elongated journey, in politics, he had many remarkable ups and downs while even serving as a cabinet minister in united Andhra Pradesh.

However, things went horribly wrong for him in political terms, just before the 2024 election as he decided to back Jagan’s YSR Congress and even challenged to change his name if Jagan doesn’t become CM again. He had to endure a lot of humiliation and even changed his name to Padmanabha Reddy as a result.

But now it is being established that this veteran politician missed a golden opportunity of concluding his political career on an absolute High, if he decided to travel with the NDA, and mainly with JSP.

Nadendla Manohar, who is the number two leader in Janasena has revealed that Pawan Kalyan had communicated to JSP top leadership that Mudragada would be endorsed for Governor position once the alliance came to power. Apparently, Kalyan was prepared to take the responsibility of endorsing Mudragada for governor position on behalf of the alliance government.

If this was the case, then it would have been a proper closure to the political career of Mudragada and he could have rounded off on a high. He would have certainly been respected by the members of the alliance as well.

However, he decided to take a complete different path by backing Jagan and YCP. This did not end well for him as he endured a lot of political and personal trauma with the name change and internal family fights with his own daughter who later joined JSP.
