It is already known that a silent political storm is currently brewing in the Jantar Mantra of Delhi with the indefinite hunger strike of environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk. This group is currently contemplating the idea of holding a protest at the parliament this Sunday which could be a decisive step in this direction.
Coming to the topic now, the latest reports are suggesting that Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy could be getting on his way to Delhi in the next 2 to 3 days to meet Sonam.
Considering the fact that this is a significant political protest against the ruling NDA alliance at the Centre over the demand for Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation following the NEET paper leak, the participation of the Congress party looks logical.
Former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP President Arvind Kejriwal has already visited Jantar Mantar and extended his support to Sonam Wangchuk, adding further political momentum to the ongoing agitation.
Revanth Reddy is one of the faces of the Congress party in South Indian politics and his presence in Jantar Mantar could prove to be very important and decisive. On top of that, his Hindi speaking skills are also pretty solid, which would lay the perfect platform for a strong speech at the Jantar Mantar.
The presence of an incumbent chief minister of a state could add a lot of impetus to this protest and that’s precisely what Revanth appears to be aiming for. But an official communication to this effect is currently awaited.
