YCP Starts ‘Local’ Narrative, Beware TDP and JSP!

It has been more than two years since the consolidation of the NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh and this journey together has been fairly smooth and straightforward till now. This is largely thanks to the united approach taken by Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan.

But nevertheless, YSR Congress will do everything in its power to destabilise this synchrony in the alliance. They have already started the ground preparation for the same with regard to the upcoming local body elections in AP.

YCP leaders and affiliated media channels have started to spread the narrative that Janasena will not be given any significance in the upcoming local election. They are pointing out that Chandrababu and Lokesh will decide how many seats Janasena would be getting, and it will anyway not be significant enough.

This is a clear tactic to create a divide between the TDP and Janasena functionaries at the ground level. It will be made to seem like the TDP is outrightly dominating Janasena and BJP, and this will be a desperate attempt from YCP to create cracks within the alliance.

But the important thing is that Pawan Kalyan has already initiated necessary action. His trusted associate Nadendla Manohar came in front of the Media a couple of days ago, and said JSP must focus on strength, strengthening at the ground level, rather than looking at the number of seats they would be contesting.

While YCP will look at this opportunity to instigate Janasena and BJP leaders, the synchrony of the alliance will be put to test here. It is a fact that this narrative that will be spread by YCP might trigger a section of Janasena supporters as they will feel they are not getting much recognition despite strong performance in Assembly poles.

But the instructions of the top leadership are to be followed and comprehended. The crucial thing here is for the alliance to stand firm for the next few decades, rather than look at small games like more number of seats in local elections.
