One of the main integral parts of Thalapathy Vijay campaign in the recent Tamil Nadu election was his inclusive approach with the common public. He gave the solid impression that he is a leader of the masses, and his presentation looked very approachable to the common public.
The best thing is that Vijay is continuing this attitude, even after becoming the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, and that is evident in his actions.
Today a protest was attempted by noted Tamil rapper Therukural Arivu. This music artist was staging a protest at the Tamil Nadu Secretariat regarding the ongoing NEET exam controversy.
However, Tamil Nadu police were called into action and they took corrective measures by arresting this music artist who did not have a prior permission for the same. But this did not go well on social media, as people pointed out that the police were looking to oppress an artist who was fighting for the right cause.
The matter has reached chief minister Vijay, and he had every generous reaction to the same as he immediately released Arivu and invited him to meet him at the same secretariat. Consequently, Arivu met CM Thalapathy Vijay in Secretariat today and had an elongated discussion.
Vijay even sent his cabinet minister to accompany Arivu outside the premises while getting into his car. This created a very strong visual at the venue and rightly so as well.
Subsequently, the attempt to corner the TVK goverment using Arivu’s sudden protest has completely backfired on the DMK propaganda machinery.
Instead of a hostile confrontation, Chief Minister Vijay took immediate initiative and invited him to the Secretariat, explaining his firm anti-NEET legal strategy, and sent him back convinced. People are labelling Vijay as a people’s chief minister, and they certainly have a point to make.
