The prime minister of India Narendra Modi has delivered a crucial message to the nation late in the night today as he spoke briefly in a video that he has shared on social media. This message is expectedly regarding the ongoing issues regarding student protest over the examination mishaps.
Modi has promised strict action into the paper leakage issues and has promised certain reforms with regard to the higher education system. He said the central government will take definite efforts into streamlining the process and bringing the concerned culprits to law very soon.
This was followed by another big decision that has been taken by the Indian cabinet regarding the reshuffling of the education department.
In a major bureaucratic reshuffle at the higher level in the Education Ministry amid ongoing student protests Naresh Pal Gangwar has been appointed as the new Education Secretary, while TK Anil Kumar IAS takes charge as School Education Secretary.
This decision has been taken with regard to the ongoing students, protest, and this could be considered as a retaliatory measure for all that’s been happening.
However, the students have been firmly demanding the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan from the education minister position, and they might not settle down for anything less. This shuffling of the upper ranking bureaucrats could be an administrative decision rather than a politically inclined one.
