How Can Vijaya Sai Reddy Return to Jagan?

Vijaya Sai Reddy was one of the main members of the Jagan administration before 2025. He was regarded as one of the primary leaders in the YSR Congress ecosystem and had relentless contact with Jagan, which is very rare even for YCP leaders.

However, things change drastically after the 2024 election result as Sai Reddy quit the party and said Jagan became too distant due to the coterie that he built for himself using people like Sajjala.

This was followed by a series of desperate attempts from Sai Reddy to find another political platform to continue his career. He operated in the disguise of quitting politics and looking after farming while he was actively approaching the BJP High command for a possible switch.

However, it appears that the BJP was not favourable when it came to acceptance of Sai Reddy, who has multiple ED and CBI cases filed against him. So despite the strong Sanatan Dharma stance that was put up by Sai Reddy to appeal to the BJP command, none of this worked out.

Now there are political mars that Sai Reddy is contemplating a return to YSR Congress and has even opened talks for the same. However, this could be a very tough decision for Jagan at multiple levels.

Firstly, Jagan did not impressed with Sai Reddy after his departure, and even commented that the latter like any character and simply bowed to pressure. He did not appear to value the efforts of Sai Reddy, despite their long association.

Also, there is a political talk that Jagan is very particular about the people that he keeps around himself. So the chances of taking Sai Reddy back after all that has been said and done over the last year or so, might be simply too much to expect from Jagan.

The ball is obviously going to be in Jagan’s court now, and only time will answer whether he would be considerate enough to take back his former associate.
