The NDA government faced its biggest challenge since 2014 as the cockroach party led a strong students movement which resulted in the resignation of education minister, Dharmendra Pradhan.
This is one of the first time that the government had faced such a huge protest, and they simply could not get away with the same without the repercussions.
The impact of the cockroach janta party movement has also become increasingly blatant as they have managed to actually bring a change at the ground level.
However, BJP MP and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has been speaking down of them by referring them to cockroaches, which are coming out from the gutters to ruin the society.
And just when people thought Kangana would be regretting her choice of words after witnessing the kind of impact that the cockroach party and its moment could have, it wasn’t to be.
Kangana Ranaut has defended her controversial “generation gutter” remarks, saying she was not referring to all young people. She said her comments were aimed at people who had themselves used the term cockroach and that she had specifically spoken about certain protesters and women.
Kangana reinstated that there is nothing wrong in her earlier comment about cockroaches as it is a fact that they indeed come out from gutters and drains. She was clearly of the implication that cockroaches are from the gutters as she looked to belittle the cockroach party leaders and supporters.
While there is such a strong public movement in support of this cockroach party, which is fighting for the right cause, it is interesting to see a sitting MP have such a strong choice of words against the same. She isn’t intending to go back on her words despite the recent turn of events.
