CM Revanth Reddy Takes SIR Deletions Very Seriously!

It is already known that the central election commission had been carrying out the extensive procedure of removing the invalid votes in the country. This process has entered Telangana as the first drive of SIR was held recently.

However, the results have not been very promising as it is established that more than 72 lakh votes are currently in doubt in Telangana.

With nearly 21% of the total votes in the state of Telangana in serious doubt during the recent procedure, certain political repercussions are obvious. Now it is the turn of chief minister Revanth Reddy himself to react on this matter and here’s what he had to say.

Revanth instructed ministers to hold reviews with Parliamentary and Assembly constituency in-charges within the next two days and submit a report for every constituency on these deleted votes.

Assembly in-charges have been asked to camp in their constituencies for four days to identify and resolve issues. The Chief Minister warned that any failure to follow a proper action plan would not be tolerated and could cause significant political damage going forward.

He also directed party leaders to expose what he alleged was a conspiracy by the BRS and BJP to delete voters from the rolls.

It is evident that the chief minister is serious on this matter, and he has instructed his party authorities to be extremely cautious of the tactics that are being played. He sees this as a political conspiracy by the BJP and has called for strong action.

The fact that one in every five votes in Telangana is in question is a very problematic scenario and the stuff fight is going to give Revanth Reddy a big challenge ahead of the next election.
