Telangana CM Revanth Reddy has stepped in to address the growing confusion surrounding 22-A prohibited lands and property registrations. His intervention comes at a time when land related issues continue to create anxiety among the public.
Revanth has assured that his government is committed to protecting the property rights of citizens. He made it clear that genuine private landowners will not face unnecessary hurdles while registering their properties.
According to the CM, if a person who has already taken an online registration slot finds their property listed under 22A, revenue officials will examine the matter within two days.
If the land is found to be private property, the registration will be completed immediately, giving some relief to those caught in the confusion.
Revanth has also directed district collectors to thoroughly examine the 22-A list and prepare a proper list without errors. The government wants the process to be completed at the earliest under the supervision of minister Ponguleti.
The issue had stirred considerable confusion among the public, making Revanth’s intervention important. Land and property issues have always played a major role in elections, and the government will be keen to prevent this controversy from turning into a bigger political issue.
