Andhra Pradesh IT Minister, Nara Lokesh has a very close bonding with the younger population, and this reflects in the fact that he becomes friendly instantly when he sees small kids in public events. He likes to spend time with them and pamper them whenever he can.
In this connection, we have the recent case of a horrifying incident that happened in a private school in Vizag, where an LKG student collapsed and died after a teacher physically assaulted him.
This video went viral on social media yesterday, and it immediately drew negative criticism from all sections of the public who condemned such attacks on students in schools.
This has now invited a strong reaction from Andhra Pradesh IT and Education minister Lokesh, as he appears to be visibly shaken up about what has happened.
“As a father, I can’t get over what happened to little Pranay Tej. I cannot imagine the pain his parents are going through. Corporal punishment has no place in our schools. No child should ever be subjected to violence in the name of discipline.
I have already directed a full investigation and strict action against anyone found responsible. My heart goes out to Pranay’s family in this moment of unimaginable grief.” He tweeted today.
It is evident that Lokesh has taken this incident very personally and has instructed a full investigation on this matter. This is reflecting public opinion as well, considering that people have been calling for absolutely zero physical contact with students in schools.
