Anakapalli To Attract More Investments Than Vizag!

Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu said Anakapalli is set to become a major hub of the knowledge economy, with large investments, industries and data centres coming up in the region.

“Investments are queuing to Anakapalli, in fact more investments are coming to Anakapalli than Visakhapatnam. A steel city is going to come up here, along with data centres. In the future, Anakapalli will become a hub of the knowledge economy,” Chandrababu said.

Taking an indirect dig at the YSRCP, Chandrababu said some people were trying to create a negative narrative about development projects in the state.

“People from other states are surprised by AP’s development, but a few people (YSRCP) are spreading false information. The Google data centre has not even started yet, but some are already claiming that water resources will dry up and that there will be no drinking water,” he said.

Chandrababu said the arrival of major data centres would create lakhs of jobs and significantly increase the state’s income.

Naidu also said the state government would take responsibility for filling every lake and reservoir in Anakapalli district. Every village should be developed as a zero-waste panchayat, he added.

CM Babu stressed that development was not limited to industries, investments and companies. Clean and healthy surroundings were equally important.

Chandrababu, who visited Kotapadu mandal of Anakapalli district today as part of the Swarna Andhra–Swachh Andhra programme, announced that Godavari water would be brought to Anakapalli and Visakhapatnam by the first week of September.

Chandrababu also said that under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, India would emerge as a developed nation by 2047. Naidu said the country’s per capita income could potentially rise to around Rs 50 lakh by 2047.
