Sajjala Hits Back At Sai Reddy, Says Jagan Is The Only No. 1 In YCP

Vijay Sai Reddy’s letter has created waves across the YSRCP, with the former party leader directly attacking YSRCP’s Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, alleging that he had connections with the TDP and questioning why Sajjala’s name is not in any of the cases.

Responding strongly, Sajjala questioned Sai Reddy’s claim that the party tried to sideline him from 2020. “If we had wanted to sideline Sai Reddy from 2020, why would Jagan has given him another Rajya Sabha seat?” Sajjala asked. Sajjala said leaders like him worked behind the scenes, while those who worked on the ground received more importance and respect.

Sajjala clarified Sai Reddy’s allegations over the cases against him. “When cases were filed against him, I was not in politics. I was working at Sakshi,” he said. Responding to Sai Reddy’s claim that he had made a deal with the TDP to avoid arrest now, Sajjala questioned how Vijay Sai Reddy escaped arrest when others in the liquor case were arrested. “If that is the case, how did Sai Reddy escape arrest when everyone else in the liquor case was arrested?” Sajjala asked.

Sajjala said the party had never made a big issue out of leaders leaving. Taking a direct swipe at him, he said, “Vijaya Sai Reddy left the party for his own reasons.” Sajjala recalled that Sai Reddy had no issues with anyone when he resigned and said he left for personal reasons. He also highlighted the positions Sai Reddy held in the party. “The party gave him several positions, including MP and national secretary. No one in the YSRCP received as many positions as Vijaya Sai Reddy did,” Sajjala said.

He also reminded Sai Reddy of the importance and respect he received from YS Jagan. “YS Jagan gave Vijaya Sai Reddy great respect and placed him in a high position,” he said.

Sajjala said, YS Jagan remains the only leader in the YSRCP with the strength and ability to lead the party for a long time. He also credited Jagan with bringing significant changes to the lives of poor people during his tenure. “There is only one leader in the party, that is YS Jagan. The rest of us are all party workers.

He also took a sharp swipe at Sai Reddy, saying, “New characters keep coming forward to attack YS Jagan. Now, Vijaya Sai Reddy is the new character that has emerged. Whenever anyone criticises YS Jagan, the yellow media celebrates.” Sajjala further accused Sai Reddy of believing that attacking Jagan would bring him publicity. He alleged that Sai Reddy was spreading false propaganda about a coterie surrounding Jagan and trying to mislead people with malicious claims. Sajjala’s latest comments mark a direct counter from the YSRCP leadership to Sai Reddy’s criticism of Jagan.
