Konda Surekha Hints at Resignation?

As Konda Surekha is in headlines with Telangana’s political heat reaching New Delhi and CM Revanth Reddy is in discussion with the AICC president Mallikarjun Kharga and general secretary KC Venugopal, and Revanth’s team is expecting a strong action against minister Konda Surekha and possible removal of her from the cabinet, the media has managed to get hold of Surekha.

When asked about her future course of action over the decision of the Congress party’s high-command, Konda Surekha replied stating that her action would be based on the party’s decision. “My decision and action will be based on the party’s final decision,” said Konda Surekha.

With this, Konda Surekha clearly hinted that she could take an aggressive and bold decision of resigning to the MLA post as well as the party’s membership. This may facilitate a by-election in Warangal East constituency. And it may be a blow to the ruling Congress party.

However, this also sends a strong signal from the Congress party high command to the ministers and MLAs that whoever crosses the party’s line and disobeys the CM may get severe punishment.

While there are reports both favouring and against Konda Surekha, all eyes are on Delhi and what will be the party’s disciplinary committee’s decision. For now, the speculations continue as the big decision is yet to be taken by the Congress.
