Muslims Banned @ Hindu Festivals: BJP CM’s Wife Speaks Out!

Religious and communal harmony are essential for the sustenance of a big country like India. The good thing here is that India had been very secular in terms of religious practises till now, but there are certain complications that are coming up here and there.

For instance, we have the latest decision made by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad regarding the participation of Muslims in Hindu festivals like Navratri and others.

Last week, the Vishva Hindu Parishad announced that Muslims would not be permitted to attend Garba and Dandiya events across Maharashtra during the upcoming Navratri festival, which begins on October 11.

However, Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has said festivals should be inclusive and that she sees nothing wrong with Muslims attending Navratri celebrations.

“If a Muslim person also comes there and enjoys the festival properly, I do not see anything wrong in it,” she told today .

But on the other hand, the Hindu Parishad has also issued guidelines for organisers, reportedly calling for identity verification of participants at Garba and Dandiya venues, including checking Aadhaar cards and applying tilak to attendees’ foreheads.
