What’s TDP Stand on Election Commission Issue? Lokesh Explains

There is a big political narrative that is being built in India against the Election commission and its chief Gyanesh Kumar. While there is a lot of debate happening on this matter, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister, Lokesh sat down for a conclave with a national media channel and spoke on this topic.

Lokesh was asked if the TDP would be willing to question the integrity of the election commission along with the opposition or if the party would be with the Modi camp on this matter.

The IT minister of Andhra Pradesh had a very calculated reaction to this. “When we had certain doubts about the SIR procedure, we checked with the Election commission, and we had our answers. It is very convenient for the opposition parties to blame the election commission and the system when they lose the polls,” Lokesh commented.

The TDP earlier had multiple doubts about the electoral system when they were in the opposition position before 2024. But a detailed electoral roll drive was held by the party at a fundamental level to clarify on the same.

Along with that, the EC clarified on the SIR system multiple times and it was the responsibility of TDP as an electoral party to analyse the same, which is now confirmed by Lokesh.

About the narrative, that is being set by the opposition parties on EVM scams, Lokesh said how can the Congress win Kerala and Telangana if the EVMs are rigged. He put out a strong message that the election commission procedures are fair and there’s nothing to be debated on this matter.
