Sai Reddy Completely Depends On Caste & Religious Politics?

After spending multiple decades with the YS family, Vijaya Sai Reddy is finally away from Jagan after having lost power in 2024. He is currently on the mission to launch his own political party in Andhra Pradesh and is actively working on the same.

However, the choice of political strategy that is being implemented by Sai Reddy has become extremely problematic in nature as he is bringing caste and religious angle into everything.

Today, Sai Reddy addressed press conference and he said Muslim and Christian people come to Hindu temples, but they do not consume the Prasadam or sacred clothing. But when Hindus go to churches or mosques, they have to follow the regulations.

He further communicated that once his party forms the government in Andhra Pradesh, he will bring a new rule where uppercaste people who stop Dalits from entering temples will face 4 years in jail.

It is extremely evident that Sai Reddy is looking to bring a religious side into Andhra Pradesh politics, which are otherwise very secular in nature.

Andhra politics might have caste based compartmentalisation, but there was never an iota of religious disharmony till a few years back. But now, Sai Reddy is desperately looking to bring religious aspect into mainstream politics and this is extremely concerning in nature.
