As of the moment that we are typing this, the BJP is leading in both the constituencies in West Bengal, which have gone to by election. After a massive victory in the recent assembly election, the BJP has expanded its reach in West Bengal, and that is reflecting in the by election as well.
Then we have the case of neighbouring state Tamil Nadu, which recently saw uprising victory of the Thalapathy Vijay government. He was able to become the chief minister of Tamil Nadu in his very first attempt and is already presented with the challenge of by election in two constituencies.
The Vijay party is currently leading in both Dharapuram and Madurantakam constituencies by a comfortable margin. The early public mandate on five months of Vijay rule in Tamil Nadu has been fairly positive as he is comfortably leading the by election.
In Puducherry, it is the ruling AINRC which is leading the single assembly constituency that has gone for the by election. It appears that there is no anti incumbency here either.
As of the current projections, there are no surprises in the by elections trend as the ruling parties are winning by polls comfortably.
