BJP Doing the Same Mistake After Bashing Congress?

Indian politics are witnessing an interesting transition period as several decisions that are being made by the NDA government are coming under serious public scrutiny. We have a similar story and development, and it has something to do with Uttar Pradesh politics.

The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet under the leadership of chief minister Yogi Adityanath communicated today that the Noida International Airport has been renamed, Narendra Modi Airport.

Chief minister communicated publicly that Prime Minister Modi had gifted this airport to Uttar Pradesh and it is only rightful that it is named after him.

Immediately after this communication came from the Uttar Pradesh chief minister, there was a huge round of public criticism on this decision. Many people are pointing out that it is extremely illogical and politically motivated to name airports after living politicians.

A few Congress supporters are sharing old videos of Narendra Modi, criticising the previous Congress government for naming airport and public infrastructures after the Gandhi’s.

After having made all comments against naming public places after politicians, Narendra Modi is witnessing the exact same scenario as the new Noida airport has been named after himself. In addition to this, we have the Gujarat cricket Stadium, which is also named after Modi.

A few political experts are commenting that Modi used to make fun of Congress for naming places after Gandhis but his government is now audacious enough to name places after his own self. They are pointing out the irony in this scenario.
