One of the main factors contributing to the downfall of any government is poorly maintained roads. Any government that neglects public roads immediately faces the wrath of the public who get frustrated by the same. This was earlier observed in the case of the YCP government in Andhra Pradesh.
Coming to Telangana, it appears that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is strongly focused on this particular aspect, and a series of operations clearly indicates the same.
According to reports, Revanth Reddy directed officials to fast-track flyovers and underpasses across the Hyderabad Core Urban Region with a clear focus on easing congestion and improving connectivity.
This proposal includes the highly debated one-way traffic around KBR Park, improving junctions, and optimising free-left turns and U-turns.
The plan is to speed up utility shifting and accelerating the Nagarjuna Circle– Jubilee Hills Check Post flyover. Reportedly CM Revanth is drawing inspiration from Mumbai’s infrastructure projects and wants officials to explore construction methods that can deliver projects within a year of launch.
If this dream of setting up world class roads across the Hyderabad urban region is implemented by Revanth Reddy, then it could prove to be the game changer for the Congress here in the city.
Earlier, the Congress was absolutely swapped out of the Hyderabad city region in the 2023 Assembly election. The only way this can be rectified by the next election is proper roadway projects and streamlined project completion. It is evident that Revanth Reddy has set his focus on both of them.
