The protests against the alleged irregularities of Election Commission and demand for resignation of CEC Gynanesh Kumar have been intensified as many parties of India Bloc including Indian National Congress joined the demonstration announced by the Cockroach Party for two consecutive days.
Amid the crackdown by police personnel and lots of detentions in New Delhi for two days, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi called for a unified march to the Supreme Court on Monday.
Through a social media post, Rahul Gandhi appealed to all citizens to unite beyond party, gender, caste, community and state to join hands for submitting a memorandum to the Chief Justice of India for ending the alleged Vote Chori.
Highlighting that peaceful citizens marching with constitutional intent were met with force by law enforcement and ruling party supporters, Gandhi declared that the violence reflected a growing attempt to suppress public dissent.
Holding the Constitution of India, Rahul Gandhi came down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, RSS Chief Mohan Bagawat and National Security Advisor Ajith Doval for the high handedness of the police.
