CBN Takes Serious Note of IAS Officer’s Bengaluru Pub Brawl

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu expressed his angst against AP cadre IAS officer Vikas Marmat over the Bengaluru pub brawl. Chandrababu has ordered Chief Secretary G Sai Prasad to conduct an investigation into the matter and asked him to submit a report on Vikas Marmat and his behaviour in the Bengaluru pub.

Going into the details, Vikas Marmat visited a Bengaluru pub on October 9. He allegedly fought with the Bengaluru police and allegedly abused the cops. As per reports, Vikas tried to assault the cops on-duty and even allegedly issued threats.

This incident took place when police personnel arrived at the pub and verifying the identities of the boozers. This reportedly turned into a verbal spat and that reportedly turned into a physical scuffle. Taken aback by this, Cubbon Park police have registered a criminal case against Vikas Marmat and his friends Abhay Uday Singh, Nitish and Roshan. The further investigation is going on.

Vikas Marmat is a 2019-batch IAS officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre. He is presently serving as the Project Director at the Kuppam Area Development Authority (KADA). CS G Sai Prasad is going to submit his report after conducting a thorough enquiry into the issue. More details are awaited.
