Andhra Pradesh opposition leader YS Jagan had been facing complaints for not raising his voice on the ongoing fury against the election commission. While all the opposition parties(against NDA) in the country have been actively protesting, Jagan and YCP have distanced themselves.
But now in a sudden twist in the story, Jagan has posted in support of the two cockroach janta party leaders who had been arrested recently and currently held in Tihar jail.
It is already known that the official spokesperson of the party, Saurav Das and Ashutosh are currently in Tihar Jail after they marched at the Jantar Mantar region, despite being on disciplinary grounds. This has now invited a reaction from Jagan.
“A proactive approach always yields better results than a reactive stance. The system has a flaw that needs to be corrected. Trust in the electoral process must be restored. The arrests of Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka do not solve anything; it only aggravates the situation.
I empathise with Saurav and Ashutosh.” Jagan posted a short while back. This is a clear indication that Jagan is firmly standing with the cockroach janta party in this moment.
While Jagan had been maintaining strategic silence and not actively participating in the protest in support of the cockroach party, he’s occasionally siding with them. In fact, he had referred to himself as a cockroach, who would protest against the system if it reaches a point of no return. Now he has shared a social media message in support of the arrested cockroach leaders.
Jagan had been throwing extremely mixed signals with regard to his stance as no one is able to predict if he’s with the NDA or with the cockroach movement as he appears to be playing safe on both sides.
