Peddireddy Breaks Jagan’s Ultimatum, Will He Lose MLA Ticket?

YCP Chief, YS Jagan repeatedly mentioned that none of his leaders should allow unanimous elections in the Local Elections. He even threatened them that those leaders who allow unanimous elections will not get ticket in the coming election.

But then, it started happening and that too from his Strongman, Peddireddy Rama Chandra Reddy. The Punganur MLA announced that they would not be contesting the upcoming Municipal Elections.

This is a complete anti-climax to Peddireddy’s dominance in the constituency. During the local elections that happened in Jagan’s regime, Punganur had become a war zone and the TDP leaders were not even allowed to file nominations.

Now Peddireddy Rama Chandra Reddy dropped the baton. Peddireddy dictated politics in Chittoor district between 2019 and 2024.

Forget Punganur, he even dictated politics in Chandrababu Naidu’s Kuppam constituency. He defeated Telugu Desam Party in the local elections in Kuppam and vowed to bring down Chandrababu Naidu in the Assembly elections.

Chandrababu Naidu won Kuppam comfortably in 2024 and Peddireddy just escaped the jaws of defeat with a meagre 6000 Votes and now he does not even have courage to put up candidates in the Municipal Elections.

This will be the biggest morale crusher for YSR Congress in the local elections.

As we mentioned earlier, Jagan strictly made it clear that even if leaders allowed unanimous polls under pressure from ruling party leaders, they would lose their MLA tickets in the next election.

Now, Jagan’s close associate and strongman Peddireddy has announced that YCP will not contest the Municipal Elections in its fortress, Punganur. This has triggered a major debate over whether Jagan will spare his close aide or begin denying MLA tickets to leaders who fail to follow his ultimatum, including Peddireddy himself.
