Action Needed: JSP Must Control Fake News Factory!

When there is an alliance that is holding power in the state, there is always going to be scope for mishaps and misrepresentation of the stability of the alliance. In the case of Andhra Pradesh, the NDA alliance had been looking solid in power, but there have been occasional disturbances with regard to political murmur.

For now, the discussion has opened up about the Janasena party, which is headed by deputy CM Pawan Kalyan.

There have been many things regarding the top administration of the party, which have been gaining the negative attention on social media these days.

The main topic of discussion has been regarding the fake news that is being circulated in the name of Janasena through certain handle associated with the party.

First, it was the wrong setting of expectation where multiple Janasena affiliated social media handles posted that they would be getting 40% share in the local election seats. This narrative ignited a deadly blow to Janasena supporters when the party was restricted to less than 25% of the allocation.

Now this is followed by a new narrative that is again going viral where it is being established that Pawan Kalyan could be resigning the deputy CM position and also get his party ministers to resign their cabinet ranks after the local polls. This narrative is being built in such a way that the JSP leadership is disappointed with seat sharing and they would be protesting by resigning their posts.

This narrative is being carried by certain social media handles in the name of JSP supporters. There is no official word from the party or its leaders, but the narrative has gained attraction on social media already.

There has been a lot of murmuring that has been happening regarding the JSP leadership in the recent past. It is true that the majority of this is just fake news circulation in the name of the party, but at the end of the day, this will also have an impact.

This will set the wrong expectation politically and also socially, which is not good for the stability of the alliance. At a time when Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu have been repeatedly calling for 15 years of stable alliance, this narrative is the last thing they’d want.
