Is ABV’s Campaign Threatening YCP’s Second Place?

The municipal Corporation of Vijayawada has become the focal point of the political discussions in Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the fearlessly contested seats in the upcoming local body election and the candidates have also been vary of the same.

The NDA has strengthened Vangaveeti Radha in the Vijayawada local election battle while YCP announced Rayana Bhagyalakshmi as their candidate. But if we look at the actual electoral prospect, it needs to be said that YCP is nowhere in the scene now.

We have another interesting addition in the form of independent candidate AB Venkateswara Rao. Initially, when he filed his nomination, many people thought he was expressing his dissatisfaction with the NDA leadership, and his contention was just namesake.

But it turns out to be that Venkateswara Rao is actually serious about the election and the fact that he has been holding multiple interviews, and ground level campaigns is indicating the same.

In fact, he is appearing to be more confident and resilient than YCP candidate, Bhagyalakshmi. Considering his prior experience with the government leadership and administration, Rao is reportedly executing a flawless election campaign here in Vijayawada.

As of now, the public moode at the ground level is reportedly with Vangaveeti Radha, who has the support of the NDA leadership. It should be only a formality for him to sweep Vijayawada mayor position.

But the real problem now lies with YSR Congress, which hoped to secure second position at least through Bhagyalakshmi. But considering the activity that is being executed by Venkateswara Rao, YCP is no longer in the scene, and this candidate has become nearly irrelevant already.
