Nation In Crisis; Govt Gives Clearance For PM New Residence

Central government allows the construction of the central vista project ignoring the COVID-19 crisis.

It is already known that the government of India is currently constructing the Central Vista Project, which will be the new administrative area of our country. Meanwhile, the centre has termed the project as an essential service so that the construction work will not get interrupted due to the ongoing lockdown in Delhi.

This came as a big decision because the opposition parties have been demanding to stop the construction works due to the rise of coronavirus cases in the city. The government also planned a strict timeline for the ₹20,000 crore makeover plan of the central vista project.

Prime Minister’s residence will be one of the first buildings to be constructed as a part of this project and it will get done by December next year. The construction of the Special Protection Group (SPG) and an executive enclave for bureaucrats will also be done by the same time.

The Vice President’s house is expected to get done by May next year. According to the official reports, the project is being constructed with an estimated amount of Rs. 13,450 crores and will employ nearly 46,000 people.

Meanwhile, the netizens and the opposition parties are lashing out at the government for allowing the construction of the project when the people are suffering from the COVID crisis all over the country.
