Key Highlights Of AP Budget; Agriculture Gets Major Share!

Andhra Pradesh has introduced the Budget for the year 2021-2022 this morning in the AP Assembly. A special session has been called for the budget and AP Finance Minister Buganna Rajendranath Reddy has introduced the budget which is valued at Rs 2,29,779.27 crore.

Here are some of the details of budget allocations

Agriculture – Rs 31,256.36 crore

Agricultural Schemes – Rs 11,210 crore

Amma Vodi Scheme – Rs 6,107 crore

Education Schemes – Rs 24,624.22 crore

Farmers Welfare Schemes – Rs 11,210.80 crore

Health – Rs 13,840.44 crore

Irrigation – Rs 13.237.78 crore

Municipal and Urban Development – Rs 8,727 crore

Roads and Buildings Department – Rs 7,594.6 crore

Housing and Infrastructure – Rs 5,661 crore

Women Development – Rs 47,283.21 crore

YSR Aasara (Pension) – Rs 6,337 crore

YSR Rythu Bharosa – Rs 3,845 crore

YSR Cheyutha – Rs 4,455 crore

YSR Free Crop Insurance – Rs 1802.82 crore

YSR Bhima Insurance Scheme – Rs 372.12 crore

YSR Vahana Mitra – Rs 285 crore

The budget had allocations for communities wise and here are quotas of few communities.

Kapu Welfare – Rs 3,306 crore

BC Sub- Plan – Rs 28,237 crore

SC Sub-Plan – Rs 17,403 crore

ST Sub-Plan – Rs 6,131 crore

Apart from this, the Jagan government has allotted Rs 1000 crore to fight Covid-19, Rs 250 crore for Kadapa steel plant and Rs 33.75 crore for Disha Act.
