SC Stays 30 Days Rule on Movie Ticket Price Hike

The SC has stayed a recent order of the Telangana HC that required a 90 day public notice before approving movie ticket price hikes. The decision came after a petition by Mythri Movie Makers. Producers argued the rule could delay film releases since many movies are completed and scheduled within a short time. The Supreme Court has now put the High Court order on hold and allowed the existing ticket price approval system to continue for now.
