Eluru TDP MP Putta Mahesh Yadav tested negative while TV reports suggest that a former MLA Rohit Reddy whom the Farmhouse belongs to was tested positive. Reports indicate that few others at the party were also tested positive in the drug tests.

In a shocking incident in Pocharam, Hyderabad, a young woman was allegedly injected with HIV infected blood after she refused to marry a man. IndiGo has announced a new fuel surcharge on flight tickets starting March 14, 2026. The charge will apply to both domestic and international bookings. Passengers will pay ₹425 for domestic routes, ₹900 for Middle East flights, ₹1,800 for South East Asia and Africa routes, and ₹2,300 for Europe sectors. The surcharge will be included in ticket prices.
The Supreme Court of India expressed concerns over making menstrual leave mandatory for women employees. While hearing a petition, the court said such a law might reduce job opportunities for women as some companies may avoid hiring them. The bench said awareness about menstruation is important but compulsory leave rules could create unintended career disadvantages for women.
Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy conducted a review of the LPG Gas Cylinders Shortage in the state due to the Global Shortage because of Iran War. Uttam announced that there is no shortage in the state and the Current stock is 10,611 MT which is 6.97Lakh cylinders. And the Supply remains normal at 2.5 Lakhs cylinders/day in which 86% are domestic.
Former DGP HJ Dora passed away while undergoing treatment at NIMS Hospital. He served as the DGP of the united Andhra Pradesh during his career. The SC has stayed a recent order of the Telangana HC that required a 90 day public notice before approving movie ticket price hikes. The decision came after a petition by Mythri Movie Makers. Producers argued the rule could delay film releases since many movies are completed and scheduled within a short time. The Supreme Court has now put the High Court order on hold and allowed the existing ticket price approval system to continue for now.
In a relief for Andhra Pradesh, the Centre has approved ₹341 crore as additional disaster assistance for the state. The funds were cleared by a high-level committee chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The amount will support relief and recovery works after recent natural calamities. The Centre also sanctioned similar assistance to several other states affected by floods and cyclones.
