The IPL could witness a huge change from 2028 as chairman Arun Dhumal confirmed that the BCCI is planning to expand the tournament to 94 matches from 74. The idea is to introduce a full home-and-away format while continuing with 10 teams. However, the final decision depends on getting a bigger ICC window after 2027.
