Fact Check: Will Vijayawada Airport Be Closed?

The Andhra Pradesh government has dismissed reports about the closure of Vijayawada International Airport as completely false. Officials confirmed that the new ₹611.80 crore terminal at Gannavaram is nearing completion. The proposed Amaravati Greenfield International Airport is a separate long-term project, and both airports will continue operating simultaneously in the future.
