Groundwater samples near Nashik’s Ambad industrial area have reportedly revealed hexavalent chromium levels nearly 1,000 times above the permissible drinking water limit. The contamination has raised serious health concerns ahead of the upcoming Kumbh Mela, with residents reporting skin problems and other health issues.
