SC Directs SEC To Consider Extending Nominations

The Supreme Court has directed the Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission to consider extending nomination deadlines in areas where candidates were allegedly prevented from filing papers due to violence. The SEC must decide by October 22. The final candidates’ list has been deferred until October 25.
