#Paralympics: Third Gold for India

India is having a dream run at Paralympics Tokyo as Manish Narwal secured Gold medal for the country. This is the country’s third Gold and said to be the best Paralympics ever. In the P4-Mixed 50m Pistol SH1, Manish secured first place while India’s Singhraj Adhana stood second and won silver.

Probably this is also for the first time in the Paralympics history that India shared first two places on the Podium. Both Manish and Singhraj hugged each other on the podium and this visual is going viral. With Manish and Singhraj’s feat, the total medal’s tally of India touched 15.

On the other hand badminton players Krishna Nagar and Pramod Bhagat have also garnered good results. Krishna Nagar (SH6) and Pramod (SL3) have also stormed into the finals in respective categories. So medals for them are also guaranteed.

2008 Gold medallist Abhinav Bindra hailed these efforts of Indian Para athletes. “The greatest gift we as a nation can give to our Paralympic Team and champions is to use this moment as a way to make the disabled population in our country more inclusive. That would be amazing impact leveraging on the power of sport!,” tweeted Bindra and one can’t agree more with his statements.
