During a press conference at UEFA Euro 2020, football star player Cristiano Ronaldo removed the Coca-Cola bottles that were placed before him, near the mic. This gesture from Ronaldo wiped out the $4 billion market value of Coca-Cola but the beverage company settled it and added “everyone is entitled to their drink preferences.”
This scene was recreated by Australian cricketer David Warner. After Australia’s match against Sri Lanka in the T20 World Cup, Warner appeared before the media. As he sat down, Warner picked up the Coca-Cola bottles and took them down.
“If it’s good enough for Cristiano, it’s good enough for me,” said Warner cheekily and placed the Coca-Cola bottles right back from where he picked them. This video of Warner taking down the Coca-Cola bottles is going viral on social media.
Coming to the match, Warner played a match winning innings against Sri Lanka scoring 65 runs. Australia has won two out of two games and is racing towards a berth in the semi-finals.
