Cricket: India put on an impressive shows

After losing the ODI series against Bangladesh, Team India came back stronger in the Test series. KL Rahul and his men won the first test match by 188 runs and ended the game in the first session of the fifth day. Chateshwar Pujara, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj put on good performances in the match.

While batting first, India has put on a good total of 404 on the scoreboard. Pujara (90), Shreyas Iyer (86), Ravichandran Ashwin (58) and Rishab Pant (46) played impressive knocks in the first innings.

Bangladesh got destroyed in its first innings by the Indian bowling attack. Kuldeep Yadav bagged a fifer while Mohammed Siraj grabbed three wickets. Thus, Bangladesh got all out for just 150 runs and India got a 254-run lead.

In the second innings, India put on an impressive show yet again. With the help of Shubman Gill and Chateshwar Pujara’s brilliant centuries, India declared its innings at 258/2. It posed a target of 512 runs for the opponents.

Though Bangladesh fought hard, it couldn’t achieve such a huge target. It got all-out for 324. While Zakir Hasan scored a century, captain Shakib Al Hasan fought till the end.

Bangladesh got all out for 324 on the final day. Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav bagged four wickets and three wickets respectively. The second Test will start on December 22. It will be held in Dhaka.
