Dhoni Comments on Retirement: What He Said?

During the closing stages of every year of IPL, there is the customary question about the retirement of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and the same is the case this year as well.

Chennai Super Kings played their final game of the tournament today, and Dhoni was expectedly about his retirement.

Dhoni did not give a conclusive answer to the question which had been the case with him for a while now. He gave a very vague and speculative statement.

“I have 4 to 5 months to decide on the next season. But my Immediate priority is to go back to Ranchi and spend some time with my family and ride my bikes. I will start to train then and see how my body reacts.” He said.

Dhoni stated that he has prioritised the development of CSK from the fundamental level. He said he plans to set things right by the time Ruturaj Gaikwad returns as the captain next season as he hinted about a revamp from the coming auction.

Dhoni further added that temporary form of a player can’t be used to dictate his future. “If players are determined based on form. We will see many players retiring at 22 years.” Dhoni said when asked about the lack of form of some of the CSK players.
