Locked And Loaded: IPL 2026 Playoff Teams Are Here!

Today happened to be the most decisive day in IPL 2026, as all four play-off teams have been finalised tonight. While Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Gujarat had already qualified, it was Rajasthan, which made the safe passage today.

Rajasthan had a crucial game against Mumbai and they definitely needed a big win to reach the playoffs. This fire was exhibited by Rajasthan on field as they were absolutely brilliant with the bat and ball.

Subsequently, Rajasthan ended up defeating Mumbai by a comfortable margin of 30 runs and they have progressed to the play-offs now. This came at the expense of Punjab Kings who are officially eliminated from the tournament.

This is going to be a significant outcome, considering that all four play-off teams have been officially locked. It is Bengaluru and Gujarat will be playing the qualifier while Hyderabad and Rajasthan will be playing the eliminator.

The observation here is that all four teams which are qualified for the play-offs had won the IPL trophy 1 time. So no matter which team wins the IPL this year, it will be their second ever trophy.
