Deserved Or Didn’t? How Was RCB This Season?

For the first time in their history, Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the IPL trophy last year. This was followed by another sensational performance in the ongoing 2026 season as they were able to defend the title.

From being without a title for 18 years, Royal Challengers, Bengaluru are now one of the legacy teams in the IPL as they have won the trophy twice in two seasons. Only champions like Chennai and Mumbai were able to win the IPL trophy two times in consecutive seasons and now RCB is the new addition to the list.

The point of difference here is that RCB was absolutely brilliant, right from the start of the season to the very end. No other team was as consistent in terms of batting and aggressive bowling in the tournament this year.

RCB is perhaps one of the most deserving champions of IPL if we consider the kind of performances that they had put up in the 2026 season.

The main point of differences, obviously the bowling development which happened due to the arrival of Bhubaneswar Kumar and this changed the complexity of the team.

RCB is hands down the best performing team this season and they’ve rightly won the title and defended the IPL winning legacy successfully.
