Surprise, Surprise.. BCCI’s Good News for Rohit Fans!

For the last couple of days, the entire discussion about Indian Cricket has been revolving around the possible retirement of Rohit Sharma. It was extensively speculated that Rohit could be retiring from the ODI format as the team management felt he is not fit for the upcoming 50 over World Cup.

It was widely speculated that the upcoming third ODI against England, which will be played at the famous Lords Stadium could be the final game for Rohit in Indian jersey.

However, there is a big twist in the case now as the latest developments are suggesting that the BCCI has clarified that there is no intention to remove Rohit Sharma from the ODI format.

A leading secretary of the BCCI has communicated that there are lot of speculations going on in media about Rohit Sharma’s future. We want to firmly assert that there has been no such discussion that Rohit will be playing his last match at Lord’s on Sunday.

Rohit is a regular member of the Indian ODI team and he will continue to represent the country as long as he is in the scheme of things. In other words, Lord’s ODI wont be his last match, the statement read.

This is a very strong indication from the BCCI that Rohit will continue to be a part of ODI team for India and that are no second thoughts about the same. This must be a big relief for fans who had been piling pressure on the BCCI to continue Rohit.
