India’s Day 7 At Olympics: India Gains The Momentum!

On Friday, the Indian fans are extremely happy that boxer Borgohain Lovlina is going to get a medal for the country. She fought very hard in her quarter-final and entered the semi-finals. Irrespective of the result of the semi-final, she will get us a medal. PV Sindhu also stormed into the semi-finals which is happy news. The following is the round-up at the Olympics on day 7.

Golf Men’s Round 2 play was interrupted.

In Men’s 400m Hurdles Round 1, India’s Madari Palliyalil Jabir was not qualified.

In Sailing 49er Men Race 07, India’s Kelapanda and Thakkar secured 17 points.

In Women’s Welter (64-69kg), Borgohain Lovlina won the quarter-finals and reached the semi-finals. She defeated Chen Nien-Chin.

Indian Women’s Hockey team won against Ireland and registered their first victory in the tournament.

In Women’s 100m Round 1, India’s Chand finished at 11.54 seconds and was not qualified.

In Badminton, PV Sindhu defeated Japan’s Yamaguchi Akane and entered the semi-finals.

India’s Men’s Hockey team played their final league match and defeated Japan by 5-3.
