Schools & Colleges To Be Reopened Only After Aug!

Schools Reopen

HRD Minister Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal cleared the doubt of many parents that schools and colleges will be reopened after August 2020. They have been remained shut ever since 16 March, followed by Janata curfew and four heavy countrywide lockdowns. It is essential to fathom that children have less immunity power and they need the utmost care by not sending them to crowded places, like schools.

Many have been thinking that school would reopen in July with alternative date attendance or just 30% attendance. Simultaneously, a few others speculated that Green and Orange zones would reopen their schools and colleges while maintaining social distancing norms. But, the skyrocketing corona cases in India is making it impossible and the ministry came out with an official statement that no decision of this sort had been taken yet.

“We are trying to get declared all the results from the examinations this session by August 15,” said the HRD Minister. “This means those exams which have already taken place before and those which are taking place now,” Pokhriyal added. The HRD minister said these word in an interview and the host has once again asked if his statement meant that schools and colleges would re-open after August, to which the HRD minister replied with an enthusiastic “absolutely”.

The CBSE board exams would be held from July 1 to July 15 and ICSE/ISC exams will begin from July 1 till July 12. Also, NEET and JEE would be in July, NEET will take place on July 26, JEE will take place from July 18 to July 23. Moreover, the guidelines have been made stricter and mandatory in all educational institutions after reopening like teachers would need to wear masks and gloves, installation of thermal scanners in schools, the three-seater bench will have only two students seated and CCTVs to observe if social distancing rules are being followed.
