In a strange yet unwanted situation, a Delhi girl was allotted a registration number on her new scooter that contains the term ‘SEX’ and she has been suffering severe harassment due to it.
A girl recently bought a scooter and got an allotment series with the word ‘SEX’ in it. She is being teased and taunted for the same and she approached the Delhi Commission for Women for help.
The Delhi Commission for Women had issued a notice to the transport department asking for an immediate change in the vehicle registration number.
The Commission also asked the transport department to submit the total number of vehicles that have been registered in this series. The commission has given four days’ time to the Transport Department to resolve this issue.
The girl informed the commission she was facing severe harassment due to the license plate and she is facing problems commuting due to this.
