‘Don’t Boil Chicken In NyQuil’, FDA Warns Against Tiktok Videos

In a weird social media video challenge on TikTok and Twitter, chicken was being cooked an boiled in NyQuil. Responding to the same, the Food and Drug Administration released a warning on the risks of doing it.

TikTok already removed a lot of videos that shows users pan-frying cicken breast while pouring NyQuil over them. TikTik also included a warning on some of these videos, ‘Participating in this activity could result in you or others getting hurt.’

FDA in its warming said inhaling NyQuil when it’s boiling may result in lung damage or dangerously high levels of the medicine entering the body.

Procter & Gamble, NyQuil’s parent company also warned against taking the medication outside the recommended dosage in a statement.

Eating ‘NyQuil Chicken’ can cause liver damage and muscle breakdown, and even damage the liver.
